  • How do you get a competitive edge with a sealed motor?

  • How often do you have to replace your motor?
That is a very good question. We see very few motor failures. Because the engine is a true automotive engine that would typically run more than 100,000 miles they are very durable. Most engines run multiple seasons. Once a team decides that it is time for a fresh motor, the motor is sent back to the Allison Brothers for rebuild, or if you choose, you can purchase a new factory Mazda replacement, but only from the Allison Brothers. It must be sealed prior to competition use.

  • How often are tires replaced?
That depends on how the car is set up and how the car is driven. Typically, a team will use two or maybe three sets of tires in a season. Any more than that and you may want to review your setup.

The quick change rear end is made by Speedway Engineering. It is designed to make regearing of the rear end a simple and fast task. The back plate of the rear end is secured with six 9/16 nuts. Once the nuts are removed the two drive gears are slid out and the new gearing is installed in its place. The whole operation of regearing the rear end takes no more than ten minutes.
